Job Responsibilities
As a Buyer on the China Procurement team, you will be responsible for tactically supporting the Global and China Commodity teams to execute Tektronix’ Supply Chain strategy by managing the supply stream for Electrical commodities.
This role includes: Significant material purchase experience working cross functionally in a global product development environment Demonstrated application of Supply Chain strategies to achieve time to market (TTM) schedules and cost targets Ability to independently address complex Supply Chain issues through the application and use of structured problem solving or analytical techniques Deep understanding of planning logical, can have analysis between planning and supply relationship and development trend. Broad knowledge of commodities (electrical & mechanical), supplier capabilities, and industry trends Ability to proactively identify Supply Chain risks & development of risk mitigation strategies Cost modeling & estimating abilities across a wide range of commodity types to achieve target costs Drive the implementation of Commodity Specific global sourcing strategies via communication, leadership, & analytical skills


Job Requirements
Excellent English speaking and writing skills 3-5 years demonstrated experience with Oracle ERP applications Bachelor degree in an Supply Chain Management, Business, and/or technical discipline (mechanical or electrical); Master degree preferred Minimum of 8 year experience implementing global supply chains in support of material supply. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Project management experience CPM, CPIM or APICs certifications are a plus but not mandatory Working knowledge of DfE, RoHS and Reach regulations The successful candidate will have skills in the Purchasing functions including Outsourcing, OEM relationships, Commodity Management and in various Replenishment tools such as Kanban, VMI, and Consignment The candidate should also possess excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin (both oral and written), and be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment Preference will be given to those with demonstrated international experience, particularly in the US Knowledge of Lean production and Oracle is a plus
